• Be organised & plan ahead! Make a shopping list of items you need to buy for your bedroom & kitchen so you know what you need to buy and you don’t overspend.
  • Make a pack list long before you start packing, then if there’s anything you think of that you may need jot it down and prior to packing revise what is essential as University halls don’t usually have the most storage spirt.
  • Try and arrive early or check with your University to see if they have a move in slot for you. This means you don’t hit any traffic and can make your arrival as smooth as possible.
  • Introduce yourself to your room mates & neighbours! There’s no better day than move in day, remember everyones in the same boat!
  • Freshers Lockdown party
  • Avoid attempting to walk back to accommodation at the end of any nights out. You don’t want to be drunk and walking around a brand new city when you don’t know your surroundings. Make sure you have got a local taxi number or UBER downloaded on your phone and make sure you have in your notes the address of your accommodation.
  • Make your bedding and buy some of your food essentials. It can be easy to get carried away in freshers but before you head out remember to make your bedding and have some of the essentials in. There’s nothing worse than getting in from a night out and the bedding not being made, or having no milk for a brew the next morning.
